Presented by Easterseals if Arkansas
On Tuesday, November 5th I was delighted to be a contributing artist for Easterseals of Arkansas’ amazing event Art & Soul.
The event was held at the Christ the King Catholic Family Life Center in Little Rock. Included was a Silent Auction, Amazing Food provided by Tommy Keet and his crew at Tazikis, Drinks, a Silent auction, followed by the program and live auction.
Travis Hester is on Guardian Board for Easterseals, he is also my boss and knows my hobbies and desire to help whenever needed. Having partnered with this organization with work related events I knew and respected Ms. Kathryn Norton and looked forward to being involved in a personal level versus just through work.

At EMC we have partnered multiple times for various fundraisers, our team toured the school and facility and really learned how instrumental they are in creating a learning environment and sometimes a home and employment opportunities for children as well as adults. We are lucky to have such an organization in our community.
The Art and Soul event specifically raises funds for their Artistic Realization Technologies (A.R.T.) Program. What is that you ask?
“Easterseals Arkansas’ Artistic Realization Technology program (A.R.T.) allows people with little or no use of their hands to paint and create beautiful art. Participants, referred to as artists, collaborate with trained volunteers, called trackers, who paint following the artist’s directives. Art by individuals who were unable to paint before comes to fruition in the A.R.T. program.”

The event was a success. Personally, I was able to contribute 4 pieces—I’m already working on pieces for their Spring Fashion Show fundraiser. I had an amazing evening and it was amplified by all of those involved coming together to support an extraordinary organization and a phenomenal event.
